"i have sold my sole to the red tail devil,
and now i am riding on the fork
above the Manhattan skyline, soon--
there will be rain of fish from Africa,
there will be rain of nails from the moon.
vend my insanity,
my dear friend,
but not too cheap."

Did you mean soul or sole?
ReplyDeleteOther than that, beautiful poetry!
Sole. That's why on a flying on a fork. Not walking. :)))
ReplyDeleteIs this shirley?
Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteNo....no Shirley here!
thank you for following the logic in the illogical. :)
ReplyDeleteYour imagery is evocative... to me at least. I don't really need to follow the logic, but now im curious: why a fork?
ReplyDeleteusually a witch rides on the bloom, but fork will do-- since the sole was sold in exchange with the red tail devil's fork.... :))
ReplyDeletethank you, it makes sense in its own way...
Have you ever put together a collection of your poetry?
ReplyDeleteThank you for asking. I have about 20 poems now in this blog. Just start writing again recently. Probably would need more poems to put a collection together.
ReplyDeleteJust wondering how do you find my blog?
What about all your earlier stuff? Did not keep it?
ReplyDeleteMaybe Shirley told me about this blog...
they were in Chinese, long lost.
ReplyDeleteYour blog looks like a great project. Why are you so careful not to ever show a picture of you?
ReplyDeletethe poems are their own master. Authorship would spoil the purity of appreciation on the reader/viewer of the poetry or an art pc. In our society, art work is too closely related to the author. I always like a good surprise of an anonymous art pc.
ReplyDeleteYou are sooo right...!
